One of my favorite research experiences documented the pervasive racism that undermined the relationship between travelers of the Oregon Trail and the Native Americans they encountered.
Using first-hand, primary source documents, I draw out the conflicting duality that many pioneers experienced, relying on and sympathizing with Native Americans while also viewing them as an inferior people in many respects.
Primarily utilizing Facebook and Instagram, I handled annual budgets in excess of $1,500,000 for lead generation campaigns. By focusing our imagery and messaging on consumers and their needs, I was able to reduce our CPA by more than 20%.
Serving as the firm’s only writer, I handled all press duties for the firm. This involved working in concert with the firm’s founder and other partners to correctly present the firm’s brand and positioning.
